SUWANEE - The Gwinnett city of Suwanee is one of three Georgia locations included in Money magazine's 2009 list of the top 100 best places to live in America.
"We're so proud to have our community recognized nationally," said Suwanee Mayor Dave Williams. "As a community, we've undertaken some bold measures, that through collaboration and diligence, have helped to create an outstanding quality of life."
This year's ranking at No. 35 is the second time Suwanee has made the list. The first was in 2007, when the city was ranked No. 10.
Money magazine considered 2,400 towns with populations between 8,500 and 50,000 and looked at data related to schools, crime rates, home affordability and other factors affecting quality of life to compile the rankings. This year, the magazine paid particular attention to economic-related factors.
Peachtree City and Martinez were also included on the list at Nos. 8 and 63.
