Gwinnett Daily Post
LAWRENCEVILLE - Fischbein LLC, the global leader in bag packaging equipment solutions, announced plans to relocate manufacturing operations to Gwinnett.
Fischbein has partnered with the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce to move its Flexible Material Handling Division from Cleveland to a 73,400-square-foot facility on Horizon Drive in Suwanee. Fischbein will manufacture material handling equipment at this location.
In a released statement, Fischbein LLC Chairman and CEO Jeff Reed said, "We determined that the Class A industrial space in Suwanee ... was the best long-term fit for our business in order to execute our strategic growth plans and maintain our competitive cost structure in the dynamic material handling markets in which we operate."
The Gwinnett Chamber is pleased with the move of the Statesville, N.C.-based company to the county.
"Fischbein LLC will become a strong contributor to Gwinnett's national manufacturing business base," said Alison Starnes, manufacturing and logistics business development manager for the Chamber. "We appreciate that they have chosen Gwinnett as an ideal climate in which to do business."
For more than 90 years, Fischbein and its holdings have designed, manufactured and provided bag packaging equipment and complete systems to a global customer base. The company's Flexible Material Handling Division is one of the leading manufacturers and distributors of truck loading and unloading conveyors in North America.
The relocation to Horizon Business Center is set to occur this summer. The company expects the move to create approximately 45 new jobs.
