WINDER - Undercover police in Barrow County plugged a cocaine pipeline out of Atlanta during a bust this week, authorities said Thursday.
Three Atlanta men were allegedly trafficking the drug in a blue Dodge Caravan when officers with the Barrow County Sheriff's Office narcotics unit arrested them Monday. They face charges of trafficking in cocaine, selling cocaine and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Sheriff's Office spokesman Investigator Matt Guthas said the suspects sold cocaine to an undercover officer posing as a drug buyer. In the Caravan, officers found more than two ounces of powder cocaine - worth about $8,000 on the street - and a loaded 9 mm pistol, Guthas said. Police arrested the three men - Shanard Bullock, 31, Zachariah Reid, 37, and George Jeffries, 37 - without incident.More like this story
