Blanche Lucille McNeely, age 78, of Lilburn, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 19, 2009, following more than a 7 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born as Blanche Bowling in Ashland, Kentucky on March 12, 1930. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill McNeely, father and mother, Robert and Lilly Bowling, and two sisters, Ethel Wolfe and Mary Magdalene Ropp. She was also preceded in death by five brothers: Elgan Bowling, Olgust Bowling, Hargis Bowling, Robert Junior Bowling and Ray Bowling. Mrs. McNeely is survived by her daughter and son-in law, Jeannine and Don Denson of Atlanta, GA.; three step daughters, Sherry (Jim) Ball of West Chester, Ohio; Vickie (Jim) Baber of Hilliard, Ohio; Connie McNeely from Urbana, Ohio and a step son, Bill (Tana) Spellman of Urbana, Ohio. She is also survived by three grandsons, Chad, Todd, and Zach Denson of Atlanta, GA., who were the lights of her life. She also leaves to cherish her memory, two sisters, Florence Helterbran of Springfield, Ohio and Delores Patton, of Middletown, Ohio, two brothers, Max (Bessie) Bowling of Ashland, Kentucky and Coby (Laverne) Bowling of Olive Hill, Kentucky. Mrs. McNeely is survived by many nieces and nephews and friends, all of whom she adored! Dareline Adams, Blanche's in-home caretaker for the past three years, became a blessed part of her life. Dareline will remain a treasured member of the Denson family forever. Mrs. McNeely will be remembered for her warm and kind spirit, her love of family, and her unselfish willingness to always help others whenever there was a need. She always had a great sense of humor and where she was, you would find laughter. She will be greatly missed by her family, but we rejoice that she no longer suffers and is in such a better place. Visitation will be at the Walter Funeral Home in Urbana, Ohio,on Friday, January 23, 2009, from 3pm until 6pm.
