Suwanee holds photo contest

SUWANEE - The grand opening of Suwanee's new city hall set for the spring will feature award-winning photographs taken throughout the Gwinnett city.

Amateur and professional photographers are invited to enter the Snap Suwanee photo contest for the chance that one of their photos taken within the city limits could be a winner.

Hosted by Suwanee's Public Arts Commission, the contest is ongoing, with photos accepted year-round but submissions for the city hall display must be received by Feb. 16. Photos, along with entry forms, which are available at www.suwanee.com, may be dropped off or mailed to Suwanee Crossroads Building, 323 Buford Highway, Suwanee, GA 30024. Photographs can also be e-mailed to snapsuwanee@suwanee.com.

"We're really excited about the Snap Suwanee photo contest, not only because the winning photos will be part of our grand opening celebration for the new City Hall, but also because the contest is another way that our citizens and others can become involved with the community," said Lynne Bohlman DeWilde, public information officer for the city. "Snap Suwanee offers a fun way for participants to share their vision of the community."
