HOSCHTON - Mill Creek trailed by seven points with 1:52 to play but battled back to force overtime as the Hawks went on to top Collins Hill 63-61 on Friday in Region 7-AAAAA.
Zach Landis led Mill Creek (5-8, 4-4) with 16 points while Kyle Speller finished with 13 points. Ron Wamer also added 10 points for the Hawks.
Jeremy Olsen had a game-high 30 points for Collins Hill (10-3, 5-2) while Saah Nimley scored 16 with Reed Buck adding 10 points.
Norcross 82, North Forsyth 35
NORCROSS - Denzail Jones led all players with 20 points on Friday as Norcross cruised to an 82-35 win over North Forsyth in Region 7-AAAAA.
Jeremy Lamb added 14 points for the Blue Devils while Marty Johnson chipped in with 13 points.
Peachtree Ridge 63, Northview 53
SUWANEE - Khalid Mutakabbir led all players with 25 points on Friday as Peachtree Ridge notched a 63-53 win over Northview in Region 7-AAAAA play.
Corey Blackwell added a strong game with 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Lions (9-3, 6-1).
Chattahoochee 56, Duluth 54
ALPHARETTA - Cole Hobbs led all players with 25 points on Friday in helping Chattahoochee to a 56-54 win over Duluth in Region 7-AAAAA.
Duluth, which was led by Armand Tatum's 18 points, led 15-1 in the first quarter and 47-44 with four minutes to play but couldn't hang on. Duluth (4-11, 2-5) also received 11 points from Jarrett Christian.
Central 73, Shiloh 50
LAWRENCEVILLE - Central Gwinnett went on an 18-8 run in the third quarter to pull away from Shiloh and post a 73-50 win over the Generals on Friday in Region 8-AAAAA.
Prinz Barimah scored 20 to lead Central (7-6, 2-3) while Jordan Adams added 18 points. Ayo Madamidola also helped with 11 points while Brian Williams finished with seven points and seven assists.
Meadowcreek 78, Grayson 53
NORCROSS - Meadowcreek's Charles Johnson buried six 3-pointers and finished with 32 points in leading the Mustangs to a 78-53 win over Grayson in Region 8-AAAAA action.
Thomas Hines and Jarvis Brown each helped in the win for Meadowcreek (11-1, 5-1) with 10 points each. Grayson was led by 17 points from Andrew Osemhen.
Apalachee 67, Winder-Barrow 60
WINDER - Chaun Gresham scored 27 points and pulled down 17 rebounds on Friday as Apalachee beat county rival Winder-Barrow 67-60.
DaVaughn Kilgore followed up with 14 points and John Ansley kicked in 12 points for Apalachee (8-6, 2-1). Jodd Maxley scored 23 to lead Winder-Barrow (9-5, 4-1) while Shun Thurmond finished with 16 points.
GAC 34, Lovett 20
ATLANTA - Lovett's attempt to slow down the pace of Friday's game with Greater Atlanta Christian didn't work as the Spartans topped the Lions 34-20 in Region 6-AA action.
Paul Dawson led GAC (10-3, 4-0) with 34 points while Trent Wiedeman added 11 points.
Wesleyan 68, Fellowship Christian 61
ROSWELL - Wes Carver scored 22 points and Griffin Schamp added 18 more on Friday as Wesleyan knocked off Fellowship Christian 68-61 in Region 7A-A play.
Carter Brantley also scored 17 points as Wesleyan improved to 10-5 overall and 4-1 in the region.
Providence 66, Mt. Pisgah 43
LILBURN - Four Providence players hit for double figures in points on Friday night as the Stars won their first subregion game by beating Mt. Pisgah 66-43.
Nate Bucher led the Stars with 17 points while Westley Hinton followed with 16 points. The Stars, who improved to 8-5 overall and 1-0 in Region 7A-A, also received 12 points from Peter Hage and 11 points from Dustin Henry.
Social Circle 65, Hebron 61
SOCIAL CIRCLE - Despite having three players score in double figures, Hebron came up short against Social Circle 65-61 in Region 8-A play.
Anthony Stewart led Hebron (2-10, 0-5) with 17 points and 10 rebounds while Shawn Gibbs added 16 points and 13 boards. Trey Saxton finished with 15 points while Jeremy Bell played well with seven points and six assists.
Mill Creek 48, Collins Hill 34
HOSCHTON - Mill Creek stayed unbeaten in Region 7-AAAAA on Friday with a 48-34 win over Collins Hill.
Moneshia Simmons finished with 18 points and five rebounds for the Hawks (12-1, 8-0) while Tia Williams added 15 points. Collins Hill (5-8, 2-5) was led by nine points and nine rebounds from Marissa Rimbert.
Norcross 60, North Forsyth 29
NORCROSS - Anjelica Wilcox scored 18 points and grabbed five rebounds on Friday in leading Norcross to a 60-29 win over North Forsyth.
Tiffany Clarke added 12 points and eight boards as Norcross improved to 10-4 overall and 7-1 in Region 7-AAAAA. Kayla Nolan also helped with six points and four steals while Judean Hanks dished out four assists.
North 50, South Forsyth 45
CUMMING - North Gwinnett received 19 points from Annie Wheeler as the Bulldogs upended South Forsyth 50-45 in Region 7-AAAAA.
Stephanie Wheeler added 12 points for North (10-4, 5-3) while Stephanie Owens helped with 10 points.
Peachtree Ridge 42, Northview 31
SUWANEE - Peachtree Ridge evened its overall record to 6-6 and improved to 2-4 in Region 7-AAAAA on Friday with a 42-31 win over Northview.
Brittany Jack led the Lions with 10 points.
Central 59, Shiloh 52
LAWRENCEVILLE - Central Gwinnett (8-5, 4-1) received 32 points from Dria David as the Black Knights posted a 59-52 win over Shiloh on Friday in Region 8-AAAAA play.
Central, which hit 34 of 37 free throws on the night, also received 10 points from Lauren Brown. David was a perfect 19 of 19 on free throws while Brown converted on all 10 of her attempts.
Shiloh (5-9, 2-4) was led by a strong performance from Jainee Robinson with 17 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and five assists while Paden Smith hit four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points.
Buford 66, Blessed Trinity 38
ROSWELL - Buford posted its ninth-straight win on Friday by beating Blessed Trinity 66-38 in a Region 6-AA game.
Blanche Alverson and Andraya Carter each scored 13 points for Buford (10-1, 3-0).
GAC 48, Lovett 44
ATLANTA - Greater Atlanta Christian remained perfect in Region 6-AA by outlasting Lovett 48-44 on Friday.
Chaney Means led the Spartans (8-5, 4-0) with 25 points, seven steals and six rebounds while Clarke Boards followed up with 16 points, six rebounds and four steals. Alex McCall also helped defensively with five rebounds and three steals.
Wesleyan 90, Fellowship Christian 16
ROSWELL - Wesleyan picked up a Region 7A-A win on Friday night with a 90-16 rout of Fellowship Christian.
All 13 players on Wesleyan's roster scored as the Wolves improved to 12-3 overall and 7-0 in the region. Grace Leah Baughn, who hit six 3-pointers, led the team with 26 points.
Providence 52, Mt. Pisgah 22
LILBURN - Amelia Allen led all players with 14 points on Friday as Providence cruised to a 52-22 win over Mt. Pisgah.
Maggie Brown added 12 points for Providence (8-6. 1-1).
