Gwinnett Medical to produce television episodes

LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett Medical Center has partnered with Weathers Studio to produce television segments aimed at highlighting the health care system's accomplishments and advancements, and informing Gwinnetians about local health care issues.

Medical Matters premiered in October on TVgwinnett Channel 23. New episodes run every other month and the station will rebroadcast episodes throughout the month.

Adrienne Hollis, GMC director of marketing and communications, said maximizing visual media will allow viewers to "better understand the scope and reach of Project PATH (Planning, Advancing and Transforming Health Care) initiatives..." Project PATH, she said, is GMC's vision of transforming health care in Gwinnett.

"As Gwinnett's premier health care provider, technology is a primary tool in the care we deliver," Hollis said. "But we're also responsible for maximizing the technology we use to communicate our key messages."

Weathers Studios is headquartered in Lawrenceville and has a business development office in Washington, D.C.

Hollis praised the studio's efforts, saying it helped GMC reach "new audiences in dynamic ways."

"They were invaluable in helping us achieve creativity with our shooting and editing schedule to get the most out of our interview and footage," Hollis said.
