Alice Ruth Jernigan, age 91 of Lawrenceville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 07, 2009. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Judge J. Wesley Jernigan. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jernigan Thawley and her husband, Charles Brooks Thawley of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Lauren Thawley Linder of Suwanee, GA, Deborah Thawley Williams of Bethlehem, GA, Brooke Thawley Ortman of Canton, GA and 5 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 11 o'clock at St. Edwards Episcopal Church with the Very Reverend Kent Branstetter officiating. Interment will be at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville, GA. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8, 2009 from 5 o'clock until 8 o'clock at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, (770)277-4550.
