LITHONIA - New Birth Missionary Baptist Church is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed a Stone Mountain businessman.
Marc Stewart, a member of the Lithonia church, was found dead in his Ford Explorer on Valentine's Day in the parking lot of a Bahama Breeze restaurant on Breckinridge Boulevard near Duluth. The 39-year-old had been shot in the head, Gwinnett County police said. Stewart, the president and CEO of Island Coast Entertainment, left behind a longtime girlfriend and a 2-year-old daughter, a family friend said. "We offer our deepest sympathy and support to Stewart's family and pray that God will comfort their pain and sorrow during this time of deep grief," said Bishop Eddie L. Long, senior pastor of New Birth Church. "We are hopeful that the reward offer will assist investigators in finding justice for the Stewart family and send a message to the community that the killing must stop." Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Gwinnett County Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 770-513-5300 or the tip line at 770-513-5390. The public should not contact the church with information about the investigation.More like this story
