SUWANEE - Police were searching Thursday for a man who allegedly approached three female students in a Collins Hill High parking lot and grabbed two of them by the arm, school officials said.
No one was injured in the incident, but "the students were understandably shaken," principal Glenn McFall wrote in a message posted on the school's Web site. The man, who was not identified, had not been arrested Thursday afternoon, but school police were securing warrants on two counts of simple battery and one count of criminal trespass, said Sloan Roach, Gwinnett County Public Schools spokeswoman. Police were immediately notified of the incident, which occurred before school began Thursday morning, Roach said. "(The man) was trespassing on campus, and we take that very seriously," Roach said. The man is not a student, the principal's message states. "The students involved and others in the vicinity were able to provide key details that we hope will help resolve this situation," McFall wrote.
