THURMAN Mr. Thurman Henderson, Sr., age 88, of Buford, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. He was predeceased by: his wife, Nancy Rhodes Henderson. He is survived by: daughters and sons-in-law, Alice Frazier, Atlanta, GA, Risby and Erron Butler, Atlanta, GA, and Peggy and Emory Harris, Buford, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Thurman Henderson, Jr., Buford, GA, Raymond and Peggy Henderson, Buford, GA, Jacob Henderson, Buford, GA, Leroy and Karen Henderson, Buford, GA, and Billy Ray Henderson, Buford, GA; 24 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; 9 great great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Cato, Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Stella Bennett, Buford, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Henderson was born July 28, 1920 in Jackson County, GA. He was retired from Drake Furniture Co. in Buford, GA. He was a member of Poplar Hill Baptist Church in Buford, GA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. with remains being placed in state at 1:30 p.m. at Poplar Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Avery Headd officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Arrangements by: Junior E.
