BUFORD - Police identified a Cumming man killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday near Buford as 44-year-old Jeffrey Mathews.
Mathews crashed the 1996 Ford Mustang he was driving about 8 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve on Tuggle Road near Hamilton Mill Road, police said. The vehicle struck several objects near the roadway before flipping and ejecting Mathews, who was not wearing a seat belt, said Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli. Mathews was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.More like this story
