Prep Roundup: Parkview girls take down No. 1 team from North Carolina

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Parkview girls basketball team took a 66-63 win over North Carolina's No. 1 ranked Dudley on Tuesday at the Upward Classic. Katie Carroll and Lauren Coleman each scored 16 points, while Enjoli Johnson added 13 points for Parkview (10-0).


Buford 57, Creekview 31

JASPER -- Andraya Carter scored 14 points to help the Wolves (6-0) beat Creekview 57-31 at the Pickens County Holiday Tournament.

East Hall 52, Shiloh 45

HARTWELL -- Pilar Smith and Tajshiana Westbrooks each scored 11 points but it wasn't enough for Shiloh, as the Generals fell 52-45 against East Hall on Tuesday at the McDonald's Holiday Classic.

Mill Creek 63, Concordia Lutheran 55

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Mill Creek took a 63-55 victory over Concordia Lutheran (Texas) at the Nike Tournament of Champions on Tuesday.

Moneshia Simmons contributed 22 points and 12 rebounds and Jac' Weathers added 13 points for Mill Creek (8-3).

Arabia Mountain 45, Archer 37

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Arabia Mountain beat Archer 45-37 at the Archer Tip-Off Classic on Tuesday.

Janetta Felton scored 12 points and Sammy Healy added nine points for Archer (3-8). The Tigers play Lambert today at 3:40 p.m. for third place.

Mountain View 50, Drew 46

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Bailey Holmes led the way for Mountain View with 21 points, as the Bears beat Drew 50-46 on Tuesday at the Archer Tip-Off Classic.

Jade Manning and Emery Buckner each scored nine points for Mountain View (3-7).


Parkview 59, West Forsyth 47

ALPHARETTA -- Parkview took a 58-47 win over West Forsyth to finish third in the Chattahoochee Christmas Tournament.

Delano Spencer scored 17 points and was named to the all-tournament team, while Christian Patterson added 15 for the Panthers (6-6).

GAC 59, Siegel 47

BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Malcolm Brogdon contributed 22 points, eight rebounds with three assists and three steals to help Greater Atlanta Christian take a 59-47 victory over Siegel at the Arby's Classic on Tuesday.

Trent Wiedeman scored 19 points and had nine rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Paul Dawson helped with 12 points and five assists for GAC (9-0).

South Gwinnett 94, Collins Hill 84

WATKINSVILLE -- John Harris led all scorers with 35 points as South Gwinnett defeated Collins Hill 94-84 at the Oconee County Tournament on Tuesday.

A.D. Harrison added 20 points for the Comets (6-3) and Herdie Lawrence scored 19 for Collins Hill.

Norcross 63, Strake Jesuit 46

HOUSTON, Texas -- Norcross beat Strake Jesuit 63-46 at the John Lucas Holiday Explosion Tournament on Tuesday.

Jeremy Lamb led with 26 points and Marty Johnson helped with 12 points for Norcross (8-2).

Buford 62, Duluth 52

JASPER -- Buford defeated Duluth 62-52 at the Pickens County Holiday Tournament on Tuesday.

T.J. Shipes scored 16 points, Alton Grose had 12 points and Kyle Kellam added 11 points for Buford (3-3).

Zane Cobb led Duluth with 17 points, Avante Hall contributed 16 and Alex Fragoso scored 10 points.

Archer 43, Arabia Mountain 38

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Dinesh Brown scored 15 points as Archer took a 43-38 win over Arabia Mountain on Tuesday at the Archer Tip Off Classic.

The Tigers (6-5) will play Mountain View at 8:30 p.m. today for the championship.

Jones Co. 61, Central 58

GRAY -- Central Gwinnett fell to Jones County 61-58 at the Jones County Holiday Tournament on Tuesday.

Kyron Anderson scored 13 points and Jordan Adams added 11 for Central (9-1).

Mountain View 59, Drew 54

LAWRENCEVILLE -- Mountain View topped Drew 59-54 at the Archer Tip-Off Classic on Tuesday.

Drew Bollier, Craig Bartlett and Dadrian Smith each scored 11 points for Mountain View.

GGC 65, Upstate 52

WALHALLA, S.C. -- Bruce Burkholder led the Barons with 24 points and 17 rebounds to help Greater Gwinnett Christian beat Upstate 65-52 at the Apple Classic on Tuesday.
