LAWRENCEVILLE -- A disabled Snellville man known to vanish for jaunts on MARTA public transit has been found safe following his disappearance two weeks ago.
Anthony Lamar Harris II, 21, was spotted by MARTA police Saturday morning at the College Park MARTA Station south of Atlanta, police said.
"He was found to be in good health and has since been reunited with his family," Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli said Monday.
Harris, who suffers from an unspecified mental illness, disappeared on foot from a residence on Revere Circle in Snellville. He was last spotted in the Lawrenceville area near Ga. Highway 316 and Buford Drive on Dec. 8.
Family members told police Harris had a history of leaving home and traveling toward Atlanta on the MARTA system, which he is familiar with.
