Gwinnett Daily Post
Once again, we are being tried with a second coming of the expansion of Briscoe Field into the second Atlanta airport. This time we are being told that a survey I wonder where and how it was conducted indicated support for this community-destroying idea. The commission is interested because of the supposed benefits to Gwinnett County. Ask College Park as to the benefits of the Atlanta airport. Some business people did well, while the community was destroyed including the home values and livability.
We need to defeat any attempt to privatize Briscoe Field and introduce airline service. It will affect all the people that live within a 12- to 20-mile radius of the field, ruin Lawrenceville and not provide any financial benefits to the residents of Gwinnett County.
