Alabama man inducted into Krystal Lovers Hall of Fame

COLUMBUS -- A Phenix City man has been inducted into the Krystal Lovers Hall of Fame.

The Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports Charlie Capps is one of only 10 people to receive the honor this year.

The 67-year-old joined the fast-food chain when he was 18 and retired in June.

He was working at a Krystal in New Orleans when the company president came to visit and they had a friendly chat. That's when Capps decided he wanted to make Krystal a career.

Capps held a variety of leadership positions, including a district manager position that included Georgia cities like Columbus, Macon and Rome.

He was inducted into the hall of fame Thursday at a Krystal in Columbus, and his face will appear on Krystal hamburger boxes distributed throughout the Southeast.
