NORCROSS -- Police apprehended a Norcross man Saturday as the final suspect in a double shooting that killed one last month.
Investigators arrested Emmanuel Nettlesbey at a Norcross residence without incident and booked him on charges of murder and sale of illegal drugs. Police said the shooting was a marijuana deal gone awry.
Nettlesbey joins two men who reportedly tried to rob him -- Keith Gillespie and Keiven Rhodes, both of Norcross -- in the Gwinnett County Jail without bond. Gillespie and Rhodes are charged with robbery and murder for their alleged roles in the incident.
Police said those two and another man, Darrell Stringer, attempted to physically overtake and steal dope from Nettlesbey on Nov. 19 at the Valencia Park apartments on Peachtree Corners Circle. But Nettlesbey produced a handgun and shot Rhodes and Stringer before fleeing on foot, said Gwinnett police spokesman Officer Brian Kelly.
Stringer later died of his injuries. Rhodes, who was struck in the torso, was arrested following hospital treatment, Kelly said.
