Alfred Cecil (Fred) Mauldin, 85, of Social Circle, GA, formerly of Norcross, died December 4, 2009. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 8th at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. The family will receive friends Monday, December 7th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Mauldin was a member of Norcross First United Methodist Church. He was a salesman and a U.S. Army veteran. He served during WWII in the North Africa, Sicily, and Europe Campaigns with General Patton. Mr. Mauldin is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mauldin and brother, Cline Mauldin. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bubba and Judy Mauldin of Social Circle, Carl and Shelia Mauldin of Duluth; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ray and George Welden of Social Circle; seven grand children and two great grandchildren.
