LAWRENCEVILLE -- Two Southern literary voices will take center stage in Lawrenceville on Wednesday.
The Gwinnett County Public Library will host authors Rick Bragg and Sonny Brewer at the Aurora Theatre.
Bragg is an award-winning author who hails from Alabama. He won a Pulitzer Prize for feature writing in 1996 for his work at The New York Times, the same year he was contracted to write "All Over But The Shoutin'," which is based on his family.
Brewer is a writer and editor and founder of Over the Transom Bookstore in Fairhope, Ala., his bayfront hometown that served as the historical setting for his first two novels, "The Poet of Tolstoy Park" and "A Sound Like Thunder."
The authors will discuss their latest releases, "The Most They Ever Had" for Bragg and "The Widow and the Tree" by Brewer, and answer questions posed by audience members. A book signing will follow the presentation, and books will be available for purchase.
