LAWRENCEVILLE -- The East Metro Health District will host H1N1 vaccination clinics today in Lawrenceville and Rockdale for those falling in the Centers for Disease Control priority groups.
From 9 a.m. until noon at each health center, the vaccine will be available for:
* Pregnant women;
* Health care and emergency medical personnel;
* People who live with or care for infants under 6 months old;
* Anyone between 6 months and 24 years old; and
* Anyone between 25 and 64 years old who has medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications.
The vaccine will be provided at no charge to clients, who are encouraged to bring Medicaid, Medicare or private insurance cards to ensure proper billing.
The Lawrenceville center is located at 455 Grayson Highway, Suite 300.
Health Departments in Lawrenceville, Norcross, Buford, Conyers and Covington will continue providing the H1N1 vaccine during weekday clinic hours, according to district spokeswoman Suleima Salgado, who encourages clients to call to confirm availability.
