Melanie Ann McCorkle and James David Ellwanger were married June 5 at the Carl House in Auburn. The Rev. Danny Ashworth officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Billy and Vickie Hines of Texarkana, Ark., and Mike and Marsha McCorkle of Fulton, Ark. She is a 2000 graduate of Bob Jones Academy and a 2004 graduate of Brenau University, where she received a bachelor's degree in legal studies and conflict resolution. She graduated in 2007 from the University of Arkansas School of Law with a juris doctor and is employed as an assistant solicitor-general in Forsyth County.
The groom is the son of David and Stormie Ellwanger of Flowery Branch. He is a 1999 graduate of West Hall High School and a 2004 graduate of North Georgia College and State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in marketing. He is employed as a talent acquisitions manager with ASAP Staffing in Norcross.
Hannah Hines of Texarkana, Ark., served as the bride's maid of honor, and Tamara Wess of Raleigh, N.C., served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jamie Bobo of Hope, Ark., Annie Dai of Springdale, Ark., Ashleigh Johnson of Gainesville, Julie Johnson of Panama City Beach, Fla., Ashley Ray of St. Simons Island and Lindsey Smith of Buford.
David Ellwanger of Flowery Branch served as the groom's best man.
Groomsmen were Brent Duke of Braselton, John McGarvey and John Michael Williams, both of Gainesville, Josh McNeal and B.J. Williams, both of Flowery Branch, and Dalan Nalley and Blake Wayne, both of Oakwood.
After a honeymoon in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple resides in Roswell.
