Sunshine Cleaning Blu-ray (R)
Movie 3 out of 4 stars Disc: 3 out of 4 stars Although it features two of the industry's most talented young actresses (Amy Adams and Emily Blunt) playing sisters going through a multitude of mostly female issues, "Sunshine Cleaning" should not in any way be considered a "chick flick." Recalling the uneasy humor and dark emotional undercurrents of many recent mainstream-friendly, art-house productions, the film has the sprightly pluck of "Juno," the family skeletons of "Little Miss Sunshine" and the desperate longing of "Lars and the Real Girl." If you saw and liked any or all of those movies, you'll love "Sunshine Cleaning." Technical specs: aspect ratio: Widescreen (1080p/2.40:1), audio: English and Spanish (Dolby True HD 5.1 Digital), subtitles: English and Spanish. Special features include: · Making-of featurette · Trailers · BD Live (Internet link to more bonus features) · Filmmaker commentary (Anchor Bay, $39.98)More like this story
