Mrs. Lena Volpe Rudow, age 99, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Rudow. She is survived by: son and daughter-in-law, Ronald E. and Brenda Rudow, Buford, GA; grandchildren, Bryan and Sarah Rudow, Winder, GA, Ronald Rudow, Jr. and wife, Heather Rudow, Winder, GA, Brett and Amanda Rudow, Buford, GA and Bryson Rudow, Baltimore, MD; two great grandchildren, Brock Rudow and Kendall Rudow; son, Michael Rudow, Florida; and step son, Edward Rudow, Jr., Baltimore, MD. Mrs. Rudow was born August 5, 1910 in Bergen County, NJ. She was a retired Dietary Assistant at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, NJ and also a seamstress. Mrs. Rudow was a resident of Gwinnett Extended Care in Lawrenceville, GA for the past four years where she was crowned Ms. Gwinnett Extended Care of 2007. She was a member of the Buford Senior Citizens prior to going to Gwinnett Extended Care. She was a member of Prince Of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch, GA. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Arrangements by: Junior E.
