Mr. and Mrs. Brian Lockett of Grayson announce the engagement of their daughter, Candace Day Lockett of Grayson, to Todd Daniel Swords of Grayson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Swords of Grayson.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Donald Lockett of Atlanta and the late Mr. Donald Lockett, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Crawford. She is a 2001 graduate of South Gwinnett High School and a 2006 graduate of the University of West Georgia. She received a master's degree in 2008 and is employed as a first-grade teacher at W.C. Britt Elementary School. The future groom is the grandson of Andrew Collins of Social Circle, Helen Russell of Loganville and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Swords Sr. of Snellville. He is a 2002 graduate of South Gwinnett High School and is employed by The Potts Company. The wedding is planned for Sept. 26 at the Payne-Corley House in Duluth.More like this story
