Kidsignments returns for second sale of year

LAWRENCEVILLE - It's that time again.

Kidsignments, the largest event of its kind in the Southeast and perhaps the nation, organizers say, is back for its second sale of the year.

Parents, caregivers of children from newborns to preteens and those buying for kids between those ages are invited to peruse gently used clothing, furniture, toys, books, DVDs, decorative items and more from 1,000 sellers in one location.

"It's unlike anything I've ever seen before," said Cathy Seith, with Kidsignments. "I've been to a lot of consignment sales and this is like the Super Bowl of consignment sales."

The twice-a-year consignment sale will open to the public Tuesday at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds and run through Saturday.

"There will be 150 to 200 people in line to check out within two hours of opening," Seith said.

Kidsignments was founded by local mom Jeri Lynn Orta and started in her garage more than 15 years ago. For more information on the sale, visit www.kidsignments.com.
