Mrs. Betty Whitaker Wade, age 82, born in Atlanta, GA on August 2, 1927, passed away Friday, August 14, 2009 with her family by her side. Betty was a kind-hearted person, a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She touched many, many lives and was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Edwin Wade and her parents, Bennie & Florence Whitaker. Survivors include: her sister, Tootsie Landrum & brother-in-law, Ted Landrum of Appalachicola, FL, her son, Edwin Wade, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, her daughters & sons-in-law, Carol and Clyde Dishman of Grayson, GA, Linda and Carson Keller of Lilburn, GA, grandchildren, Brad & Lauren Keller, Angie & Zac Coleman, Christie & Eric Snell & great-grandson, Ashton Wade Coleman, cousins, nephews & nieces and her beloved dog, Brew. Betty graduated from North Fulton High School in Atlanta, GA and worked with Whitaker & Sons for many years and retired from Waste Management. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Atlanta, GA at 11:00AM. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at the funeral home on Monday.
