DULUTH - The City of Duluth announced Wednesday that it's joining Suwanee and now tweeting online using Twitter while also utilizing the Web site Facebook. And it wants interested residents to join in the conversation online.
"It is the goal of the City of Duluth to get the word out on all our happenings, projects and events in all media outlets," said Duluth's Alisa Williams. "Social networking has become one of the main avenues for people to get information. Therefore, it is important that the City of Duluth take part in this huge network of people so that our message can reach as many people as possible." Duluth has established a page on Facebook as City of Duluth, Georgia, of which residents and others may become a fan. Duluth fans will receive city posts on their Facebook walls. To find the City's page on Facebook, search for "City of Duluth, Georgia." When the results appear, click on "pages." You'll know you've found Duluth's official page from the profile photo of the city's town green and fountain with the azaleas in bloom. For Twitter users, to receive Duluth's tweets, find the city by searching for "cityofduluthga."More like this story
