NORCROSS - Residents are invited to an evening of stress-free living Thursday as part of a back to school kickoff event being sponsored by the Atlanta Bread Company located at the Forum on Peachtree Parkway.
To celebrate, attendees are encouraged to support the Norcross Cooperative Ministries Food Bank by bringing non-perishable food items.
For every two cans of food donated, participants will receive a coupon for a free drink and cookie to be used that evening with a purchased meal.
Titled "Eat, Meet, Greet and Educate," the post-school registration bash is the result of a combined effort to do something good brought to the community by the ABC's owners - Ron and Marianne Murray - and Peachtree Corners resident Brooke Nebel.
"The Murrays and I decided to have this event on Gwinnett County's public school registration day," Nebel said. "The idea is to bolster our local schools while supporting local businesses and nonprofits that need our help in these challenging times."
