GGC now offering joint enrollment

LAWRENCEVILLE - Want to get an early start on college?

High school students may now take college courses at Georgia Gwinnett College while earning their high school diploma through GGC's Joint Enrollment program.

Joint Enrollment allows students to take general education curriculum courses such as mathematics, English, history and biology. Students may qualify for the program if they have a grade-point average of 3.0 in college preparatory curriculum classes and a minimum 480 verbal and 460 math score on the SAT-1 and a combined SAT score of 970 or a minimum of 21 English and 19 mathematics score and a composite score of 20 on the ACT.

Students wishing to apply for the program must submit an official high school transcript, meet with a high school counselor and GGC mentor to plan a class schedule, and apply online at www.ggc.usg.edu/jointenrollment.

Tuition at GGC for the 2009-10 academic year is $100 per credit hour up to $1,500 per semester. Financial aid is available through the ACCEL Scholarship. For more information, visit www.GAcollege411.org.
