While the Gwinnett Braves are still very much in the hunt for International League playoffs, Gwinnett Stadium will play host to its first postseason baseball game - and possibly games - today.

The Sunbelt Baseball League, a summer wood-bat college league, is set to settle its 2009 championship with Game 2 - and maybe Game 3 - of the best-of-three title series between the Atlanta Crackers and the Rockdale A's this afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 12:05 p.m., with the deciding game, if necessary, set for approximately 4:05 p.m.

Tickets for today's game are $5 for adults, with proceeds going to the Hudson Family Foundation. Kids age 13 and under will be admitted free.

The two teams in the championship series are two of the league's longest-standing members, dating back to the its association with the Stan Musial League of Georgia.

The Crackers, managed by Suwanee resident Kevin Meistickle, feature several former Gwinnett high school players, including North Gwinnett graduates Jon Spitler, Justin Rahm and Jim Moreland, Dacula grads Mickey Ferguson and Taylor Smith and Brookwood grad Grayson Flack.
