The City of Suwanee seeks Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) with fee proposals from an individual, firm, or team of firms for the provision of professional services to assist in developing 1) a master plan, 2) construction documents, and 3) bidding assistance and construction oversight for Phase 1 of the 6.891-acre Williams Farm property. The City intends for the focal point of this project to be a phased community garden, with the property having a secondary purpose as a passive recreation site to serve the Old Town area. The project is scheduled to open for public access by April 2010.
A pre-submittal meeting will be held at Suwanee City Hall, 330 Town Center Avenue, on Monday, May 4, 2009 at 1:30 pm. Attendance at the pre-submittal meeting is highly encouraged, but not mandatory.
Prospective consultants are also highly encouraged to visit the project site. The site is located on White Street in Suwanee with a parcel ID number of 7-210-008. It does not currently have a physical street address but is located just north of 812 White Street and can be identified by the presence of an existing red barn.
Statement of Qualifications and Cost of Services, as required by the City's RFQ package, shall be sealed and mailed or delivered, to the attention of Jessica Roth, Assistant to City Manager, at 330 Town Center Avenue, Suwanee, GA 30024 prior to 11:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 . Provide a total of twelve (12) hard copies and one (1) electronic version of the proposal. Submittals received after the established deadline will not be considered. No faxed submissions will be accepted.
The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all submittals, waive technicalities and informalities, change scope of work, and amend said Request for Qualifications as desired by the City. The City reserves the right to negotiate with any firm and to select the firm that best meets the City's needs.
Parties interested in securing a copy of the RFQ package may do so by contacting Jessica Roth at firstname.lastname@example.org or (770) 945-8996.
