Contest looking for 'Face of Gwinnett Place'
DULUTH - Gwinnett Place Mall is hosting its fourth annual search for the Simon Kidgits "Face of Gwinnett Place" at noon Saturday in Center Court.
The contest offers the opportunity for three children to participate in mall activities throughout the year, representing the Simon Kidgits Club. Children will represent the mall in fashion shows and serve as spokespeople at events based on their age group. Their pictures will be on display at Simon Guest Services and at Simon Kidgits events. In addition, the winners will receive VIP check-in at all mall events.
The contest is open to all children age 12 months to 11 years. Registration is open from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Simon Kidgits Club table at Center Court. The cost is $1 for current Simon Kidgits Club members or $6 for non-members.
A Polaroid photo will be taken of each child, and a judge will converse with the child for about two minutes. The winners will be chosen based on personality, smile and ease at being in front of people.
Finalists will be contacted between 4:30 and 5 p.m. and must return to the mall by 5:30 p.m. The winner in each age category will be announced at 5:45 p.m. Saturday. The winners in each age category will receive a $50 gift card to a store, as well as a photo session for a portrait, and finalists will receive a special gift.
