LILBURN - Police are offering up to $2,000 for information leading to the perpetrator in a shooting at a Lilburn apartment complex Thursday night.
An unidentified black man was shot about 11:30 p.m. in a breezeway at the Brentwood Down Apartments, located on Lake Knoll Drive off Pleasant Hill Road. He was transferred to an area hospital, where he has undergone surgery and remains in critical condition, police said. The victim fell prey to at least one attacker who kicked in his apartment door and shot him, Gwinnett police spokeswoman Cpl. Illana Spellman said. A neighbor called 911 after hearing a scuffle and shots fired in a breezeway of the 1100 building, she said. The motive behind the attack is under investigation. Police had no suspects Friday. Police urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS. Anonymous calls are welcome.More like this story
