Hours: 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 am. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays

Owner: Judy Staffieri arrives at her diner during the early morning hours to begin making homemade biscuits. She does this seven days a week. When asked how long she has been in the restaurant business, Staffieri replied, "All my life." The 59-year-old resides in Lilburn.

Atmosphere: Judy's Diner, as might be expected, has a diner atmosphere with booth and counter seating. Nothing fancy, but when the food is the main draw for customers, it's not necessary.

Menu: Diners can get breakfast any time at Judy's, from buttermilk pancakes with a hint of cinnamon to eggs scrambled with cheese. All the staples of a good, Southern breakfast are here.

"Y'all have got the best one in town," said Connie Georges as she dined recently at Judy's. The Lilburn resident, who has been eating at the diner for 12 years, was talking about the omelettes, available plain, with cheese, ham, bacon and/or sausage and western or Spanish-style.

Beyond the breakfast menu, Judy's Diner offers daily lunch and dinner specials of meats served with two vegetables. On Fridays, customers can get a breaded filet of flounder and pair it with a choice of tomatoes and zucchini, baby lima beans, black-eyed peas, Italian green beans, whole kernel corn, creamy cole slaw, hash brown potatoes, French fries, mashed potatoes with gravy or fresh boiled cabbage.

Popular sandwich items at Judy's include the club - ham, bacon, lettuce and tomato served on three slices of white bread with mayo - and its cousin, the hamburger club - a hamburger patty, bacon, lettuce and tomato with mayo also served on three slices of bread.
