Petit plans US high-wire walks

NEW YORK - Philippe Petit is planning a series of high-wire walks next fall around the United States.

The 59-year-old said they'll include midtown Manhattan, and will promote literacy. He's keeping mum about other details.

Secrecy also preceded Petit's 1974 walk between the World Trade Center towers. A documentary about it, 'Man on Wire,' won an Oscar.

X-rated star Chambers dies

LOS ANGELES - Marilyn Chambers, the pretty Ivory Snow soap girl who helped bring hard-core adult films into the mainstream consciousness when she starred in the explicit 1972 movie 'Behind the Green Door,' has died at 56.

The cause of death was not immediately known. A family friend, Peggy McGinn, said Chambers' 17-year-old daughter found the actress' body Sunday night. Chambers was pronounced dead at the scene, the county coroner's office said Monday.

Chambers and fellow actresses Linda Lovelace and Georgina Spelvin shot to fame at a time in the early 1970s when both American social mores and the quality of hard-core sex films were changing.

It's a girl for 'Lost' star

NEW YORK - 'Lost' star Josh Holloway is a father.

The actor's publicist, Jill Fritzo, said Holloway's wife, Yessica, gave birth to a daughter, Java Kumala, on April 9 in Oahu, Hawaii. Fritzo didn't provide details.

This is the first child for the couple. They were married in 2004.

Beatle gets Hollywood star

LOS ANGELES - Hundreds of fans and friends including Paul McCartney turned out to see a posthumous star for George Harrison unveiled on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The late Beatle's star was unveiled Tuesday in front of the Capitol Records building.
