WINDER - A 41-year-old motorcyclist from Hoschton was killed Saturday evening in a collision with a vehicle.
David Paul Hatcher died at Barrow Regional Medical Center shortly after the 6:30 p.m. accident, police said. Hatcher, riding a 2004 Kawasaki, struck a northbound vehicle on Ga. Highway 53 just south of Sims Road, police said. Police on Monday were working to reconstruct the accident scene. "It's too early in the investigation to make any determinations as to the cause of the accident," said Winder police officer Bryant Cruse. Six injured in minivan wreck In Buford on Sunday, six people were hospitalized when a minivan rolled into a ditch about 3 p.m. on Interstate 85 southbound, just north of Hamilton Mill Road. All six people in the van were injured and hospitalized in the single-vehicle crash. The youngest passenger, who was about 13 years old, was ejected from the vehicle and later transported to Scottish Rite Children's Hospital in critical but stable condition, said Fire Department spokesman Capt. Thomas Rutledge. An ambulance transported the five other occupants, all adults, to Gwinnett Medical Center with minor to moderate injuries, none of which were considered life-threatening, Rutledge said.More like this story
