SUWANEE - A 24-year-old Braselton man died Tuesday evening in a fiery, single-vehicle crash along Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, police said.
Jonathan Williamson was killed when the 1989 BMW 325i he was driving left the roadway near Taylor Road about 7:15 p.m., struck a cement culvert, overturned and caught fire. His passenger, Timothy Chambers, 25, of Lawrenceville, tried to pull Williamson to safety but failed, police said. Witnesses told police the vehicle was speedily treading traffic before impact. Investigators believe alcohol may have also factored into the crash, said Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli. Williamson died at the scene.More like this story
