LAWRENCEVILLE - Officials moved into a state-of-the-art new tag office in Peachtree Corners last week.
The new facility at 6135 Peachtree Parkway, Suite 201B, is about a mile and a half from the former location, which had operated since 1990. Located at the intersection of Holcomb Bridge Road and Peachtree Parkway in the Market Place shopping center, the 4,000-square-foot office features a customer service desk, eight frontline customer service work stations and a handicapped-accessible work station. Kathy Brooks, a Peachtree Corners customer for the past 19 years, was the first customer at the new location Tuesday. She was presented with a special certificate of appreciation and a gift basket. Gwinnett County Tax Commissioner Katherine Meyer will host a ribbon cutting for the facility, which is expected to serve 82,000 people in its first year, at 3:30 p.m. April 21.More like this story
