John Maurice Frazier, Sr.

John Maurice Frazier Sr., age 79, of Snellville, GA entered into rest on April 3, 2009. He is survived by three children, Ms. Susan Frazier of Snellville, GA, John M. Frazier, Jr. and his wife Pam of Lawrenceville, GA, Anne Frazier Belcher and her husband Chuck of Gardendale, AL; 4 Grandchildren, Courtney Frazier, Cody Belcher, Katy Belcher, and Colt Belcher; Sister, Mrs. Dean (Mary) Long of Lawrenceville, GA; Sister-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. John (Elaine) Mitchell of Snellville, GA; Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a Host of Friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Vivian Shell Frazier. Mr. Frazier was born in Lawrenceville, GA on September 16, 1929, one of six children of Alma Vera Peevy Frazier and Marvin Victor Frazier. He was the first Eagle Scout in Gwinnett County, a 1946 graduate of the old Lawrenceville High School and he attended Clarksville College. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany during World War II and was recalled to serve during the Korean War. He was a member of the Georgia State Guard and Air National Guard. He was a member of the Snellville United Methodist Church, Hancock Sunday School Class and the Snellville Masonic Lodge. Mr. Frazier retired from General Motors with over 34 years of service. The Service Celebrating the Life of Mr. Frazier will be held Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. at the Snellville United Methodist Church with Dr. Philip DeMore officiating. Interment Eternal Hills Memory Gardens with Military Honors. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home and on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the church.
