Movie: 4 stars out of 4
Discs: 4 stars out of 4 Combining William Goldman's sneakily subversive screenplay, a dream supporting cast and an earthy score by Dire Straits' Mark Knopfler, director Rob Reiner's fairy tale is family friendly on the surface with beautifully twisted subtext. The cult followers will revel in the abundant and in-depth extras and the new crystal clear, high-def Blu-ray transfer will go far in snaring a whole new generation of devotees. This timeless 1987 classic is a must-own by anyone's definition.
