Mary Arliss Quinlan Couey

Our beautiful daughter, Mary Arliss Quinlan Couey, was killed in a car accident at 12:30 am Tuesday, March 31st. She was struck by a drunk driver while returning from a wake. Mary, 28, will be remembered by all for her loving and giving spirit. Always smiling, taking care of everyone around her, she would light up the sky with her smile when you were near her. Tony DeMarco and Mary were to be married in June. She and Tony lived in Haysville, NC and she worked for Drake Software in Franklin, NC. She was everybody's angel. She would help anyone, anywhere. She was an organ donor, but because of the accident and the autopsy, that can't happen. Her life was stolen from her and the one thing she wanted, her ability to save other's lives. This is what driving drunk does, destroys lives. Mary's family and friends ask that you celebrate her life on Sunday starting at 1pm at Rock Springs Farm, 1405 Rock Springs Road, Buford, Ga. You can share your stories about Mary and we will honor her at 3pm. Mary's parents are Kerry and Rose Couey from Lawrenceville, Ga. She has a sister Julie Apple, brother Danny, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Tony's family also resides in Lawrenceville. In lieu of flowers Mary would ask that you become an organ donor. Donations can be made in her memory to her brother's transplant fund at Gatransplant.org/client/dcouey . We also ask that you become active in Mother's Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
