LAWRENCEVILLE - Hi-Hope Service Center will host its fifth annual Taste of Buford on Thursday.
The event at Tabby's Irish Pub in Buford will showcase appetizers, entrees, desserts and drinks from 15 local restaurants, including Aqua Terra, Bradford House, Cabo's Mex Grill, Flowery Branch Yacht Club, Grapes and Hops, Hooters, LongHorn Steakhouse, Old McDonald BBQ, Pizza Pub, Red Sky Cafe and Tabby's Irish Pub.
"This event is a lot of fun," said Brenda Pruitt, chair of Taste of Buford, "and in these economic times when it's so expensive to go out to eat, you can enjoy a lot of great food for a small price and help Hi-Hope Center at the same time."
The evening's entertainment will be provided by saxophone player Melvin Banks, Lawrenceville musician Stephie Rae and radio station 97.1 fm The River. Artwork by Hi-Hope clients will also be on display.
Tickets are $25 per person in advance and $30 at the door and include all food and two drink selections - sodas, beer or wine.
Hi-Hope Service Center assists adults with developmental disabilities.
