LAWRENCEVILLE - Police on Tuesday identified a Lawrenceville man found dead in his garage last weekend as Pedro Hernandez, 39.
The motive behind Hernandez's stabbing death remains under investigation, Gwinnett police spokeswoman Cpl. Illana Spellman said. Neighbors said the victim worked as a mechanic and was the father of two teenage children.
Police said the victim's son found him in his multistory garage Sunday evening and called 911. Emergency personnel arrived at the Shannon Way residence and ruled the death a homicide.
Ted Bailey, Chief Forensic Investigator, said an autopsy Monday confirmed Hernandez was stabbed to death.
Investigators continued to conduct interviews to develop suspect information Tuesday, Spellman said.
Police urge anyone with information about the homicide to call investigators at 770-513-5300.
