Ronald L. (Ron) Osborn, age 59, of Lawrenceville, GA died on September 7, 2008 after a gallant battle to cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Karen Walker Osborn; Son, Patrick Osborn of Lawrenceville, GA; Son and Daughter-in-law, Kevin and Christine Leigh Rowell Osborn of Colonel Heights, VA; Grandson, Kevin W. (K.J.) Osborn, Jr., of Colonel Heights, VA; Mother, Anna Beeks Osborn of Muncie, IN; 8 Siblings, David and Brenda Osborn of Muncie, IN, Diana and Jim Walker of Columbia, NC, Rebecca and Terry Powers of Muncie, IN, Debbie and Paul McCall of Fortville, IN, Cheri and Steve Sulkey of Warsaw, IN, Fred Osborn of Gainesville, TX, Gary and Pam Osborn of Sanger, TX and Tonya Foster of Porter, IN; Father-in-law, Ray Walker of Lewisville, TX; Sisters-in-law, Carla and Kent Gates of Plano, TX, Johnna and Larry Lunsford of Lewisville, TX; Brother-in-law, Russell and Denise Walker of Grand Prairie, TX; Numerous Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde S. Osborn. Ron was born on July 23, 1949 in Huntington, IN to Clyde Seward Osborn and Anna Mae Beeks Osborn. He was known for his ability to work with his hands. He had a remodeling business in Dallas, TX for many years and was a Builder/Superintendent in the Construction Business for many years in the Atlanta area. He was an active member of the New Hope Christian Church in Lawrenceville where he helped build the Fellowship Hall and Youth Building for the Church. He participated in New Hope's annual Bar-B-Q and he worked on numerous mission trips with New Hope by going and working on construction issues for other churches. He gave his time to feeding the homeless with the Atlanta Union Mission as well. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and son. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. A Memorial Service and Reception Celebrating the Life of Ron Osborn will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 in the Fellowship Hall of the New Hope Christian Church with Rev. James Grady E. Shelton officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall. The family has requested in lieu flowers that Memorial Gifts be made to the American Cancer Society, 6500 Sugarloaf Pkwy., Suite 260, Duluth, GA 30097 or to the New Hope Christian Church, 1982 Old Norcross Rd., Lawrenceville, GA 30045.
