Mr. and Mrs. Rodney K. Baker of Charleston, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Marie Baker of Atlanta, to John Robert Lauman of Atlanta, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Robert Lauman of Lawrenceville.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sarah O. Baker of Charleston, S.C., the late Kenneth F. Baker and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. Scarborough Jr. She is a graduate of Erskine College in Due West, S.C., and received a master's degree in rehabilitation science occupational therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is employed by Sun Dance Rehabilitation Corp. as an occupational therapist.
The future groom is the grandson of Dorothy E. Lauman of Davie, Fla., the late John E. Lauman and the late Captain and Mrs. Robert J. Blake. He is a graduate of Collins Hill High School and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Erskine College in Due West, S.C. He is employed by Large & Gilbert, P.C. in Atlanta.
The wedding is planned for Nov. 22 at the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Charleston, S.C.
