Gwinnett Daily Post
Like former teammate Omar Hunter, Buford senior Dallas Lee had the choice between the nation's two premiere high school football all-star games.
After some consideration, he chose the same path as Hunter, now a freshman at Florida.
Lee, a Georgia commitment, has accepted an offer to play in the 2009 Under Armour All-America Game, choosing the event over an invitation from the Army All-American Bowl.
The big lineman will join Norcross senior Prince Kent, who also accepted a spot in the Under Armour game. Kent, a defensive back and wide receiver, has committed to Miami.
Hunter was the first Gwinnett player to compete in the Under Armour game, which was held for the first time this past January.
"(Lee) had that and the Army All-American game to consider," Buford head coach Jess Simpson said. "Omar had a great experience and I think (Lee) wanted to do something like that, too."
The 2009 Under Armour game will be played Jan. 4 and will be televised live by ESPN. It will be played at the Florida Citrus Bowl stadium, switching from last year's location at Disney's Wide World of Sports. Disney is still expected to host the skills challenge and the practice sessions.
