Library to showcase digital titles
LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett County Public Library will host the Digital Bookmobile, an immersive download experience inside a 74-foot, high-tech tractor-trailer, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Five Forks branch at 2780 Five Forks Trickum Road in Lawrenceville.
Readers of all ages are invited to the free event, which will include interactive demonstrations. Attendees will be able to experience the library's audiobook, eBook, music and video download service. Library card holders can also check out and download digital titles by visiting www.gwinnettpl.org.
The Digital Bookmobile is equipped with broadband Internet-connected PCs, high-definition monitors, premium sound systems and a variety of portable media players, all of which help visitors explore the library system's download service.
Once downloaded, digital titles can be enjoyed on a computer or transferred to supported mobile devices. Many audio titles can also be burned on a CD. At the end of the 21-day lending period, titles will automatically expire and are returned to the digital collection. There are never late fees or damaged items.
Credit union raffle to benefit Relay for Life
LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett Federal Credit Union is holding its annual Pink Basket Raffle to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
The credit union's locations in Lawrenceville, Loganville, Norcross, Suwanee, Winder and Jefferson each have a basket filled with a variety of pink items. Raffle ticket can be purchased for $2 each through Friday, and drawings will be held at each location on Monday.

Leadership Gwinnett member joins law firm
ATLANTA - Ron C. Bingham II has joined the Atlanta office of Stites & Harbison Attorneys.
Bingham joins the firm as a member in the creditors' rights and bankruptcy service group. He routinely advises national and regional commercial lenders and corporate clients regarding prebankruptcy, bankruptcy, receivership and litigation matters in federal and state courts throughout the country. Before joining Stites & Harbison, Bingham was an equity member of Thompson, O'Brien, Kemp & Nasuti, P.C., of Atlanta.
Bingham is a member of the 2008-09 Leadership Gwinnett class, serves on the economic development committee for Partnership Gwinnett and is active at Duluth First United Methodist Church.
A Tickled Pink Party sponsors Toys for Tots
LAWRENCEVILLE- A Tickled Pink Party will take $10 off the price of a Spa D'Dah party and donate a toy to Toys for Tots for every party booked by Dec. 10.
The goal is to collect 100 toys. Parties can be booked into 2009.
A Tickled Pink Party serves Gwinnett, Barrow, Hall, Jackson, Fulton and Cobb counties.
