NORCROSS - The search for a missing Norcross teen ended Monday when investigators learned he had showed up for school unharmed.
Gwinnett police requested the public's help Friday afternoon in finding 13-year-old Andredus Kent after he failed to come home from GIVE Center West Middle School.
Police said the teen arrived home sometime Saturday, but his family failed to relay that information to investigators. Police were in the process of interviewing the teen Monday to find out where he had gone and why.
Kent's mother had told police he has no history of running away.
"Until investigators are able to speak with Andredus, the circumstances surrounding his disappearance or whereabouts are still unknown," Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli said.
An investigator under the assumption Kent was still vanished called his school Monday morning and was told the teen was in class. The GIVE school - one of two Gwinnett Intervention Education facilities for students with disciplinary issues - is located on Beaver Ruin Road.
Police and Norcross city officials blanketed the area Friday but found no trace of Kent.
