LAWRENCEVILLE - Nearly two months since Pedro Hernandez Castillo was stabbed to death in his Lawrenceville garage, police have pinpointed a suspect.
Florentino Lopez Estrada, 51, is wanted for allegedly stabbing Castillo multiple times in the chest during a Sept. 7 confrontation at the victim's Shannon Way home, according to a murder warrant issued Friday night. Estrada's address is unknown, the warrant says, and police are mum about his alleged relationship with Castillo or his potential motive for killing him. "Unfortunately, this is still an active investigation, and I can't release that information at this time," Gwinnett police spokesman Cpl. David Schiralli said. Castillo, 39, known to neighbors as an amiable father of two teenage children, worked as a mechanic in the garage. Police said the victim's son found him dead in the large, barn-like structure and called 911. The suspect, Estrada, has no history of arrests in Gwinnett, according to jail records. He had yet to be apprehended on the murder warrant Monday afternoon.More like this story
