CARROLLTON - Led by a second place finish by Erika Ramsey (19 minutes, 49 seconds) the Wesleyan girls cross country team won the A/AA division of the Last Chance Invitational in Carrollton on Saturday.
Jane Strader (20:11) finished fifth for the Wolves who won with 71 team points. The Providence girls finished two spots back of Wesleyan in third, led by Lauren Kelly's (21:32) 15th-place finish. Allison Preg (21:52) took 17th, Sarah Sharpe (21:57) finished 20th, Marina Lunsford (22:05) finished 21st and Jordan Kelly (22:42) finished 33rd. CROSS COUNTRY Mill Creek boys fourth CARROLLTON - Austin Boetje (17:02) finished eighth for Mill Creek as the Hawks' boys finished fourth in the Last Chance Invitational on Saturday. Tim Heffern (17:27) finished 17th, Steven Zwick (17:41) finished 27th, Nick Bava (18:05) finished 42nd and Shane Huckeba (18:11) finished 46th for Mill Creek in the AAAAA race. Providence boys finish fourth CARROLLTON - Eric Mills (17:30) ad Elias Crist (17:33) finished 13th and 14th for the Providence boys as the Stars finished fourth in the Last Chance Invitational on Saturday. Jonathan Preg (17:43) finished 17th, Stephen Dubbert (18:17) finished 33rd and Keith Kreutzer (18:28) finished in 41st for the Stars.More like this story
